Amy Webber is President and Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. and serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Council. With over 30 years of experience, her commitment to independent financial professionals is demonstrated in her passion for delivering high level, personal service and leading management solutions. Webber joined Cambridge in 1998, and her leadership has led to Cambridge being one of the most respected, innovative, and fastest growing financial solutions firms. Driven to continually refine the value proposition of advice solutions offered by the independent broker-dealer and RIA business models to best support financial professionals and investors now and into the future, Webber has led significant innovation within the Cambridge community with the support and contributions of Cambridge’s leadership team and input from financial professionals themselves.

Webber is a visible voice on important issues across the industry including nextgen, women in the industry, and diversity and inclusion. She also actively and publicly voices support for effective change in regulation to support the future of independent objective financial advice. Webber served as a member of the FINRA Board of Governors as the Independent Dealer/Insurance Affiliate Governor from 2017-2021. She served on the Financial Services Institute (FSI) Board of Directors from 2014-2017, serving as chair in 2016, and was re-elected to the Board in 2022. She sits on various industry advisory councils, does significant public speaking on topics across the industry spectrum, and was elected to serve on the Indian Hills Community College Board of Trustees in 2019.

Webber has previously been recognized as a Woman to Watch by InvestmentNews magazine, and was selected as a six-time member of the IA25 most influential in the industry by Investment Advisor magazine. She was named one of the Top 50 Women in Wealth Management by Wealth Management for three consecutive years and was recognized in the inaugural ThinkAdvisor LUMINARIES Class of 20211 in the categories of Diversity and Inclusion, Thought Leadership and Education, and Executive Leadership. Webber was also named a finalist2 for a 2022 WealthManagement.com Industry Award in the category of Chief Executive Officer of the Year (Broker-Dealers | 1,000 Advisors or More).
