FAIRFIELD, IA – June 6, 2022 – Cambridge is pleased to announce that Andrea Shafer — First Vice President, Legal — has been named a 2022 InvestmentNews 40 Under 40 honoree. Shafer was one of just 40 individuals under the age of 40 working in the financial services industry selected by an InvestmentNews editorial panel that evaluated over 600 candidates and made its final decisions based on each nominee’s accomplishments, contributions, and leadership. Shafer was profiled in the June 6 print edition of InvestmentNews magazine.

Shafer joined Cambridge in 2007 and has nearly 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. Among the youngest members of Cambridge’s leadership team, she participates in long-term strategic planning efforts while representing the industry’s next generation of leadership. Shafer currently leads nearly 40 associates and oversees Cambridge’s Regulatory Affairs and Advocacy & Supervision teams with a focus on risk mitigation.
Shafer is a strong advocate for financial literacy in the Fairfield, Iowa community. She volunteers with a number of groups and has been a regular speaker at local and national conferences, including Iowa Women Leaders and FSI OneVoice. She also holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law in addition to the FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses.
