Cambridge Announces Recipients of Ninth Annual Jim Guy Memorial Scholarship

Cambridge is pleased to announce the recipients of the ninth annual Jim Guy Memorial Scholarship. Each year the program honors the legacy of former Cambridge executive Jim Guy by awarding two $1,000 educational scholarships.

FAIRFIELD, IA – May 5, 2022 – Cambridge is pleased to announce the recipients of the ninth annual Jim Guy Memorial Scholarship. Each year the program honors the legacy of former Cambridge executive Jim Guy by awarding two $1,000 educational scholarships. The Cambridge Foundation would like to congratulate the 2022 scholarship recipients:

Seth Bobrowsky, son of David Bobrowsky of Gateway Financial Advisors. Seth has been actively involved in a variety of clubs and organizations throughout his academic career including, UCLA Undergraduate Students Association Council, TAMID Consulting and Investing Club, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Professional Fraternity, Ha’am Jewish Newsmagazine, Pediatric Aids Coalition, and VSU Modern Competitive Dance Team. Seth is currently a sophomore at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Lily Fenton, daughter of Peter Fenton, Senior Director of Financial Reporting at Cambridge. Lily has been actively involved with her school and community throughout her academic career. She is a member and secretary of the National Honor Society, serves on the Student Council, is captain of the Maharishi School tennis team, and active in competitive dance. Lily also participates in Interact, a local community service club. Lily plans to attend Creighton University in the fall of 2022.

The Cambridge Foundation would like to thank the Greater Jefferson County Foundation for their ongoing support of the Jim Guy Memorial Scholarship Program, and for their important role in assisting with the selection process.

Jim Guy joined Cambridge’s executive group in 1999, and continued to lead his independent practice while providing senior executive leadership for Cambridge’s recruiting and marketing. Jim was instrumental in the early development of Cambridge’s fee-based programs, while he also focused on supporting and improving the independent financial professional’s business through practice management coaching, marketing initiatives, and product services. These scholarships allow Cambridge to remember their friend and colleague, share his passion for learning, and reflect a positive tribute to Jim’s memory by supporting promising college students.
