Cambridge Honors Dawn Baker, John Fenwick, and Kim Gaxiola with 2021 Spirit of Cambridge Award

Cambridge recognizes independent financial professionals – Dawn Baker, John Fenwick, and Kim Gaxiola – as the 2021 Spirit of Cambridge Award honorees.

FAIRFIELD, IA – October 29, 2021 – Cambridge recognizes independent financial professionals – Dawn Baker, John Fenwick, and Kim Gaxiola – as the 2021 Spirit of Cambridge Award honorees. Each year Cambridge honors three financial professionals for reflecting shared core values in the service they provide to their clients. Cambridge home office associates vote to select three award recipients from a pool of outstanding financial professionals who have been affiliated with Cambridge for at least 10 years. As part of the recognition for their contribution to culture, values and service, Cambridge makes a donation on their behalf to a charity of their choice.

Dawn Baker is the co-founder and chief operating officer (COO) of Baker Wealth Management, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. She joined Cambridge in 2010 and has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Baker selected Camp Gray Rock, a non-profit summer camp for girls and boys in Boone, North Carolina, for her charitable contribution.

John Fenwick is the founder and president of Preferred Partners, based out of Littleton, Colorado. He joined Cambridge in 2008 and has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Fenwick selected to split his charitable contribution between Habitat for Humanity and the United Service Organization (USO). Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization and the USO works to keep America’s military service members connected to their family, home, and country throughout their service to the nation.

Kim Gaxiola is the owner, founder, and registered principal of TechGirl Financial™, in San Jose, California. She joined Cambridge in 2010 and has more than 19 years of experience in the financial services industry. Gaxiola selected Community Solutions for her charitable contribution. They provide services and support to help children, families, and individuals overcome challenges posed by mental health issues, substance abuse, trauma, severe family dysfunction, sexual and domestic violence, and human trafficking.

About the Spirit of Cambridge Award
The Spirit of Cambridge Award is given annually to independent financial professionals who are dedicated to serving their clients while reflecting Cambridge’s core values of integrity, commitment, flexibility, and kindness. Each year, Cambridge home office associates select three award recipients from a pool of outstanding financial professionals who have been affiliated with Cambridge for at least 10 years. The awards are presented during Ignite, Cambridge’s annual national conference, along with a donation by Cambridge to a qualified charity of each recipient’s choice to further honor their spirit and dedication to their clients, Cambridge and the industry.

The Spirit of Cambridge awards began in 2012 to recognize quality financial professionals reflecting the Cambridge spirit, and thousands of dollars has been donated in their honor to charities across the country.
